Born in 1949, the great pianist had been giving whole families pleasure of soft piano sounds and thrills of beautiful music beats since the 70s. However, his first album called “Cold Spring Harbor” didn’t impress the critics much and it wasn’t until the appearance of “Piano Man” in 1973 that Joel gained wide recognition and fame.

The musician has sold over 150 million of records and his tracks have been listed in the Top 40 over 30 times. But his music isn’t just entertainment worthy of Grammy Legend Awards – it is a cultural richness that has been recognized as so by the highest US culture awards. The next The 1988 Induction Ceremony (1988-01-20) featured hits from albums Cold Spring Harbor, Piano Man and even a newly released Streetlife Serenade.
